What this service demands
Power plant piping is governed by temperature and creep. Carbon steel serves the low-temperature balance of plant; chrome-moly grades carry main steam and reheat duty; austenitic stainless appears in superheater and reheater sections. In India, IBR certification is frequently a contractual requirement.
